New Addition to the Family!
I got about 2 hours of sleep last night, and another 3 hours this after noon. Why? Well I'll show you!
She is only 17 days old today and needs feedings every 2 hours right now. She is the runt of her litter and we are not sure if she is going to make it.
You can follow her story here: http://mousethestory.blogspot.com/
And of course, there are TONS of pictures of her cute little butt on there!
Until I get on a normal schedule and sleeping habit, I do not know how much crafting I will get done.
Until next time, Happy Crafting!

New Project
I bought my first pair of quad skates today, and after much researching I have decided to make some leather toe guards to protect my new investments. Especially since I can't skate worth a darn right now!!
I have sketched out a pattern, which I will post with the completed project. I need to find a place that sells some heavy duty leather (hopefully in some cool colors) and I need to find needles for my sewing machine that will do well in leather. After I find all this information out, I will post it all together with the finished project for anyone else who is interested.
Now, bow down to my sweet sure-grip skates with my sugar wheels!! Oh, and I know they are not laced all the way at the bottom. I am trying different lacing techniques to make more room in my toe box for my wide ass toes!
BTW, I will be finishing the dragon this weekend. Its a large project and I am determined to finish it!!

Shut Up & Skate
I did work on the dragon for a little while, but, true to my form, it is not complete. I will post more pictures of that some other time. I got distracted by making the pattern for this and for another project that I do not want to reveal yet.
I'll cut the type now, and show you why you come here :)
A lot of my projects get the rings from my embroidery loops, to get rid of these I clean the pieces with warm water and then flatten them between white washcloths and roll them up to soak up the water. Then I lay them flat to dry face down. Soon I am hoping to purchase the square looms that roll up so I don't have to deal with the rings anymore.
Happy Crafting!!

4/13/05
I have many plans for upcoming designs. Most of them I am piecing together from multiple patterns, and some are free hand. I am really looking forward to stitching a "Shut Up And Skate" for my picture frame that sits on my desk. I need the reminder to continue with my goal of being up to par to try roller derby next spring :)
I also have some plans on some blogs I would like to do. In the future you can look forward to a post about how I organize, unwind, and keep my thread and supplies. And another post about how I create cross stitching patterns from my own ideas.
Happy stitching!

Roller Derby
Anyway, here is the project that I finished tonight, it is a roller skate that fits into a heart key chain that I have (I tried to take a picture of the key chain but my camera wouldn't do what it was supposed to, so I just scanned the cloth). I did not use a pattern.
I did not work on my large project today, but I do have plans on finishing it tomorrow.
Enjoy!

Dragon Day 3
I went shopping today at two different Jo-Ann Fabrics. I must say that in San Diego the one on Fletcher Parkway is VERY NICE!! They have so much stuff and are 300% better than the one on Broadway. Anyway, I picked up enough floss for the next two big projects that I have planned. I am excited to finish this piece and move on to the next ones.

Happy Crafting!
I am currently working on a bookmark, most of the pattern I found on: http://www.dunmani.freeserve.co.uk/ I will post pictures of it completed tomorrow when I finish the final touches.

First Post
So, right now I am working on a semi-large piece that is a dragon, and I have been doing small projects. I am starting at the University next fall and I want to have lots of patches, buttons, bookmarks, and key chains to chose from to spice up my bags and jackets next fall.
So with out further ado, I'll shut up and show you what I have done.
This is the large project that I am currently working on. It is a dragon and when complete will be about 10"x10"
